33.items.reality.

So here is the reality...
I have arrived in Tokyo safe and sound with my bag not ending up in some god-for-saken palace as it always manages to do when I travel by myself.

BUT

I couldn't fit everything in ><

so here is the real list. not MUCH of a difference, but I can tell you already it is hurting me><
If I am to do this challenge ever again I will be sticking to the 33 if not a few garments more.

But amongst all the negativity of only surviving with 20 odd pieces of clothing there has been one positivity.

I went shopping today and

DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING.

When I go shopping I ALWAYS buy something.
Whether it is for someone or just to add to my pile of shit building in my wardrobe.
But I am already more aware of what I want, and even if it kind of like what I want I won't get it unless I am 100%

I am loving this!!

Now that I am 5 mins walk away from every girls dream shop, I think I just want to live here forever in my un cluttered simple life♡

a.spoon.full.of.coffee

I DYED MY TOP. Had never done anything like it before, but in sorting though my clothes I had realised that there were several things I loved to bits but wouldn't wear because of colour.

This shirt was one of them. I mean look at how it matches my bed sheets! white shirts of girls look great in the office but not in this cut and this era anywhere else!

So I looked up a few sites to get some ideas on what I could do with it. Sure getting rid of it would have been an option but I really liked the cut, which is why I got it in the first place. Also it was $10 at Gap on sale :P

What I found with what a lot of sited did was that they almost only dipped their garments into the coffee. this resulted in a piece slightly tan that I didn't want. One of the sites told me to keep used coffee grains for a few days and use that, Another said to brew coffee normal and use that.  so I combined the two!

here is the end result!

all I need now is a bright coloured bow tie :P

2.months.in.Japan.and.a.challenge.to.meet.

So I am off to Japan tomorrow with a mild challenge in front of me.

I am leaving in less than 10 hours and I have yet to start properly packing.
I have found every excuse not to and have offered to do anything that involves me NOT doing so.

Half of it is nerves. By friday I am going to be in the middle of Tokyo at a language school living and breathing Japanese for 2 months while I apply to several Fashion schools in the region in hope to be attending one of them next April. And I am not going to lie that is A LOT of pressure. especially since it something I really want.

But right now there is a bigger matter.

Packing.

As I said I want to apply for Fashion school. Therefore I LOVE clothes. But there is only so much you can take with you in one suitcase that is half full of study books.

In preparation to move in April (fingers crossed) I have spent the the past few months trying to find ways to reduce my clothing. One that i have found is theproject333 that is a challenge where you choose 33 items, box up the rest and wear only the 33 that you have chosen for 3 months.

Sounds like a challenge? for me yes it is but I went through some of the techniques on the website and managed to reduce all my clothing to 44 pieces. Which I wrote about this in my other blog. Now the  challenge is to take this down further for the time being to spend two months in Japan with.

My aim is to try have this amount for my trip that starts tomorrow.
I am off to get inspired!
